E.I.I.Festival 2007 Exhibitions: Participation Details

Information for Artists
Since 1999 the Edinburgh International Internet Festival has hosted a wide selection of online exhibitions and web based creative events. There is no charge for participating in any of our projects and all online exhibition galleries are provided freely. To make entering our online exhibitions and events as easy as possible we have devised a standardised participation format for all online galleries...
Exhibition Galleries
While each event will feature it's own individual layout and logo you have the following choice of options...
  • Single Page Exhibition Gallery
    A page featuring a single full sized image (500 pixels max width/length) and up to 250 words of descriptive text.
     
  • Multi-Page Exhibition Gallery (featuring front-page and eight image pages)
    A front-page featuring up to eight Thumbnails and up to 1000 words of text with eight linked pages featuring the full size images (500 pixels max width/length).

Art Gallery Participation & Artist's Extended Exhibition Details
Art Galleries, groups and organisations with large numbers of artists wishing to participate in our exhibitions and events should contact us directly via the Contact Us link provided on the menu bar in order to make suitable arrangements. Individual Artists wishing to enter more than eight pieces of work into the exhibition should also use this means to make suitable arrangements.

As one of our aims is to encourage those with little computer experience to become more involved in online creative events...We have tried to keep participating in our events as easy as possible!
  • E-Mail
    Having completed the online application, you can send work to us directly via e-mail attachment provided a personal message is contained in the subject box.

    For example: (Hi festival.. Attached images are safe. Bill).
     
  • Online
    If you have your own website or online image archive, you can provide the URL of where the work is contained online for us to uplift directly from the web. However, you will still have to provide any text you wish added via e-mail

All images/text should be sent to the event via: festival2006@scotfestival.com

Please Note:- To avoid spam mail a verification request will be issued after your first e-mail and will need to be replied to before we receive additional mailings.

If you are sending the images and text to be included in your exhibition gallery to us via e-mail attachment... We recommend you use the following file types.
  • Image Files
    You can send artwork under any of the following formats...
    *JPEG
    *TIFF
    *BMP

    Please send images at high resolution: Longest Edge: 700 pixels
    Images will be resized to suite exhibition gallery format.
     
  • Multi-media
    Artist wishing to enter Digital and Multi-Media content into exhibitions
    should e-mail us directly via the Contact Us link provided on the menu bar.

     
  • Text Files
    You can send work under the following formats...
    *Text
    *Word
    *Notepad
    (You can also send text/written work cut & pasted directly into your E-mail).

Participation Summery: Easy Seven Step Guide

To participate in our online exhibition galleries...

1) Complete the online application form provided Here.

2) Choose single or multi-page exhibition style gallery.

3) Open an e-mail to festival2006@scotfestival.com 

4) Attach up to eight high resolution images:- Longest Edge 700 pixels.

5) Attach file containing text you wish added to exhibition gallery
   (Or cut & paste information directly into the e-mail).

6) Provide any information you wish included with each image.

7) Return e-mail and attachments to scotfestival.com
   (with event title in subject box of e-mail).
