The Red Room
Hosted by BELT UP

An immersive venue at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2008.
Featuring vibrant productions of classic texts and new writing. Award winning Belt Up presents theatre, music, and more at our burlesque boudoir. A new immersive venue showcasing vibrant productions of new writing and classics. Meet our characters and discover secret shows, experience beauty and decadence.

The Red Room is a theatrical space in the style of Victorian burlesque at the 2008 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The venue is intended to facilitate a number of productions and events staged in the immersive style of Belt Up (Nothing to See/Hear). Audiences will enter an underground world of bohemia that evokes a sense of faded decadence whilst maintaining an air of mystery where dreams and nightmares intertwine.

Our repertoire offers a concoction of comedy, tragedy, dance, mime, sensory, physical and masked works. The Red Room will offer at least seven shows and events every day.

Five shows will run for the whole month:
The Tartuffe 2.30pm
The Park Keeper 4.30pm
Volpone 6.30pm
Women of Troy 8.30pm
Lost Soul Music. 10.00pm
not weekends

Other events such as Dreamscape will run occasionally throughout the festival.
