Corpus Christi @ Bedlam Theatre |
 |
| Terrence McNally's Corpus Christi is a retelling of
the Jesus story, with Jesus as a gay man living in 1950s
Corpus Christi, Texas. Originally opening in 1998
to bomb threats and protests and continuing in various
cities with the same reception, this revival production
has been able to share McNally's message without a
single demonstration. |

his 2005 award nominated show, “Desperately Seeking Sorrow”,
Danny Worthington returns to the Edinburgh Fringe with “Fresh Faces At
The Free Fringe” where he hosts
some of the newest acts in comedy, 5 or more different acts

Denied @ C Cubed |
 |
| “Come and hear what we’re not allowed to say whilst
you still can” the tagline on the posters read.“Could I
be your granddaughter?” state the signs donned around
the necks of the burka-clad actors – a step too far off
the marketing mountain or a self-fulfilling prophecy? –
we will have to wait and see! |

Monsters @ Belly Dancer - Smirnoff Underbelly
|
 |
'It isn't love that brings people together at times
like this. It's fear'
This brand new play lets those Monsters loose with
destructive consequences: a story about a family trapped
in the pressure-cooker that we know as Christmas, in a
surreal world which is creepily close to our own. |

Manos The Greek @ Laughing Horse @ Counting House |
 |
| The show is a mixture of dialogue with the audience
and monologues (Greek word) about Greece with emphasis
(Greek word) on sex related topics. The show is neither
just about Greece nor very rude. It is good natured fun
and quite informative (if you can distinguish historic
fact from bollocks). |

The Not Quite Quartet @ Sweet ECA |
 |
| The Not Quite Quartet are exactly that - not
quite a quartet. They are, if you will, a demi-quartet; a
quartet that has been cleft in twain and discarded the detritus
to accommodate the bodily mass and unsurpassed
brilliance of the actual talent - singer Ricky Tart and
guitarist Dale Campbell. |
