"SHANGHAI TO MEMPHIS...or Poorly Remembered, Badly Written Stories of Music and Love" "While trying to choose from the two thousand odd Fringe shows on offer this year, you might assume the good shows are the expensive ones. Think again. James Dalton is only charging four quid, and he competes well with all the other shows out there. Actually, it's not exactly a show per se, it feels much more relaxed than that; it's just one man playing his guitar and harmonica, with some toe-tapping blues funk and any requests you might have. Easy going, friendly, chatting about New Jersey, or wherever else he's been, complements the music. If he's this casual and easy going every night, this one-man band is one of the most unexpectedly cool shows to enjoy this Fringe. tw rating: 4/5" - Three Weeks
