Springwell Golden Voices is a community choir for the over 55's rehearsing in St Michael's Church on Thursday mornings between 10:30 and 12:30. Current subscription rates are £100 per year - paid over 10 months at £10 per month.

We enjoy singing everything from Al Jolson to Mozart. No audition is needed and non-music readers are welcome.

The small group of people who started the choir in 1994 just wanted to get together, have some fun and sing. The original dozen or so singers has grown to a membership of more than 50, singing about 10 concerts a year, mainly in the afternoons, to church groups, people in retirement homes and others too.

But no matter how busy it gets and how many members we have, the same aims remain. We still sing, laugh and chat in just about equal measure - and enjoy ourselves thoroughly!
