Our Latest New Toy!
The choir was fortunate in 2007 to obtain a grant
from “Awards for All”, which is jointly administered
by the Lottery Fund and Scottish Heritage. It
enabled us to buy a beautiful digital piano, along
with a sound system, which means that we can now
sing to any group, whether or not they have a piano
available.
Here you see Vera Sharp, our
accompanist, seated at the piano, along with Sybil
Verner, the Chairperson and James Aitken, the
minister of St Michael’s Church, where we rehearse
each week, showing off our “Awards for All”
certificate, with the help of some of the choir
members. |

Tenth Anniversary Celebration
The choir decided that a tenth anniversary deserved
something special, so we had a big party and invited
lots of guests. We were particularly pleased that
the Lord Provost, Lesley Hinds, was able to accept
our invitation to be there, and as you can see from
the pictures below, she and the choir enjoyed the
occasion. |
